Since 1998, NRT Technology Corporation has been manufacturing and distributing keyboards under the Cary brand name. Cary keyboards are designed to meet the functional and high volume durability requirements for petroleum applications.

The CarySECURE Data Encryption Standard-encrypted keyboard was first developed in 2003 to meet the needs of NRT’s security-conscious petroleum customers, such as Petro-Canada, Ultramar, and Canadian Tire. The immediate success of this product in stopping the theft of credit card data has resulted in the shipment of over fifteen hundred units in the first six months of production.
