Cary 9600 Series keyboard
The Cary 9600 Series keyboard was designed to combine full retail functionality with a QWERTY layout for use in PC-based point-of-sale applications.
The ergonomics are optimized for use in a broad range of point-of-sale environments, from big ticket stores to fast food outlets. Careful attention was given to details such as the angle of use, tactile feel, dual-purpose pencil tray or credit card holder, protected key-switch positions, recessed connectors, and integrated peripherals.
In addition to having physically reconfigurable keycaps, the Cary 9600 Series supports a rich set of programmable features, including extensive security options.
The Cary 9600 Series keyboard incorporates Cary's unique sealed-switch technology that provides the highest attainable levels of mechanical durability, spill proofing and static protection. The switch action on the POS keys is designed to emulate a cash register style feel, while the QWERTY section is optimized for data entry in a standing position.
