Data Encryption Standard
Petroleum clients, such as Petro-Canada, Ultramar, and Canadian Tire, require that the customer's credit card information be encrypted to ensure its safe delivery over the network for all transactions.
Using Data Encryption Standard (DES) encryption, NRT's CarySECURE keyboards encrypt all credit card information immediately after a credit card is swiped. The CarySECURE keyboards provide security and ease-of-mind, protecting the data as it is being sent from the terminal to the client's acquiring bank for authorization and successfully processing the transaction.
