The Project Manager’s primary mandate is ensure accurate external project management of client implementations (new, additional and upgrades) of NRT solutions; and ensure accurate internal project and product management within the IT department in an effective and timely manner. As the lead of an integral team supporting external and internal IT projects of our organization, the Project Manager is expected to:

1. Have a strong technical/systems background
2. Review processes and implement efficiency enhancing procedures
3. Regularly interface with the client to successfully implement NRT solutions.
4. Manage internal and external projects using established project management methodologies and processes.
5. Track industry trends, understand internal product development and interact with internal and external stakeholders:
a. Promote, justify and lead the development of new products and functionality
b. Be a catalyst for important R&D Initiatives

Key Responsibilities – External Projects

• Initiate, plan, execute, monitor & control and close external projects for new implementations, software upgrades and additions to existing installations at a client site.
• Develop critical project plans in conjunction with internal and external stakeholders
• Project scheduling, including resource requirements, allocation and responsibility
• Establish communication plan to all relevant stakeholders.
• Evaluate project risk factors and communicate action plans to all relevant stakeholders.
• Translate firm sales orders into project plan (internal system tools, kickoff mtg., etc.)
• Convene, lead or participate in project meetings that involve client representatives, internal
staff and third parties, from operational staff level to senior executive management.
• Execute project closure by conducting project post mortems or debriefings with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Request, monitor and analyze reports from trainers and technical staff.
• Track and manage the resolution of outstanding project issues or requirements.
• Recommend process improvements based on industry best practices or experience with other clients

Key Responsibilities – Internal IT Projects and Misc. activities

• Initiate, plan, execute, monitor & control and close internal projects as assigned by the Manager, Project Management Office.
• Develop critical project plans in conjunction with internal and external stakeholders
• Project scheduling, including resource requirements, allocation and responsibility
• Establish communication plan to all relevant stakeholders.
• Evaluate project risk factors and communicate action plans to all relevant stakeholders.
• Convene, lead or participate in project meetings that involve internal staff and third parties from operational staff level to senior executive management.
• Request, monitor and analyze reports from project team members including reviewing deliverables by team.
• Track and manage the resolution of outstanding project issues or requirements.
• Recommend process improvements based on industry best practices or experience with other clients
• Manage day to day operational aspects of a project and scope
• Prepare for engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures
• Ensure project documents are complete and current
• Execute project closure by conducting project post mortems or debriefings with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Other duties as assigned by the Manager, Business Support or designate(s)

QUALIFICATIONS

• A proven track record of successful project implementation in a software and implementation environment
• Excellent organization, written and client facing skills
• Experience of the entire project life cycle, able to operate in the initial conceptual design stage
• Thorough knowledge of MS Office and MS Project
• Formal training in Project Management methods and techniques.
• PMP certification preferred
• Previous casino/gaming/Payment services experience an asset
• Some travel maybe required
